PC 18: Adventures in recording podcasts with dead batteries, Storage unit, Trashing Tennessee’s horrible culture

Segment 1

 

Short clips due to dead batteries.

New phone, but the case makes noise. I can’t make podcasts with it because of the noise.

I’ve been using an iPhone 11 to record podcast episodes, but it got lost in the Trashy Buick.

The 1998 Buick LeSabre is a piece of trash car. Everything plastic is broken.

 

Trashing Tennessee ...again by the way of discussing human nature.

The culture here sucks.

 

Some people move here for political reasons.

I put in some used Alkaline batteries I bought months ago.

 

Continued discussion about a guy I met online.

 

Meth is not only bad for the people who use it, but the people who are around meth houses.

 

I’m ready to leave this horrible place and mostly due to its culture.

 

People here are inflicted by the Tennessee Disease and it is spreading.

 

It makes you wonder how people who are generally well-meaning believe in stupid crap like Q-Anon.

 

The recorder lasts quite a while on ‘dead’ batteries, but as soon as I said that, the recorder stopped working.

I’m going to attempt to find my rechargeable batteries after class.

 

The professor for my art class is absent, so I don’t know if I need to show up.

 

Laundry: I’m drying my clothes on low heat so my clothes don’t burn up.

I’m convinced that General Motors makes the worst domestic vehicles. To wit: the door unlocks wrong.

 

I put in more batteries in that have two of three bars on the battery meter.

 

People keep changing things, but isn’t improved.

 

This city’s traffic signal suck.

 

It is beginning to be impossible to do a podcast segment while driving on the street.

 

Complaining about the City’s contractor. Every job I have been on they screw up everything.

 

People who program traffic lights here can’t do anything right, let alone program traffic signals.

Windy weather because it’s getting closer to Winter.

 

Lazy people driving on the sidewalk because they can’t get wet. Plant Operations saw this and installed a big metal post to prevent people from driving on the sidewalk.

At the storage unit looking for rechargeable batteries.

 

I borrowed batteries from the blood pressure machine.

 

I made it through 10 storage bins and I still haven’t found the batteries or the charger. Ten is only a little more than a third of the bins I have.

I gathered a lot of stuff from the storage unit for selling it on eBay.

I already have a lot of stuff from previous visits to the storage unit to sell, but I brought more over.

 

The driver side door power lock and door switch is broken because, well, it’s a General Motors product from the 1990s.

 

I talk about the 1990 Ford Ranger I had, which is just as bad but with different things.

 

This entire state is full of slow pokes and I get trapped for long periods of time waiting for traffic to clear enough so I can pull out. I have to wait a long time and I get mad at these morons who can’t drive. You’ll hear the 3.8 liter V-6 revving to near red line just so I can get out.

 

Wal-Mart is full of people (they are suppose to be at work).

PhilCast 20: The Big Chill of 2022

The large Arctic blast that affected most of the United States brought us snow, ice and extremely cold weather in my area of the southeast.  In this special episode of the PhilCast, I talk about how cold it got plus how people dealt with it from their stories and the resultant water lines that burst due to the extreme cold.

I'm rather busy with homework, school, projects and work.  This new type of podcast is meant to close the gap between full episodes of the PhilCast until I have time to produce full episodes.

In this episode, I talk about my upcoming multistate trip as well as future productions of the PhilCast, plus videos I have waiting on SD cards and hard drives for YouTube.

I trash this state, most of its people and the culture constantly.  This episode, I tell a story about a result of this horrible culture.  I'm sure that this won't be the last, but this is just one of many times this has happened and this progressed a little further than the previous times.

PC 21: February Road Trip, Part 1

It's mostly a road trip.  Alvin, a friend I have known for a long time moved to Delaware from Central Texas.  He called me wanting to go back to Central Texas.  The deal was he would rent a vehicle and I would drive him from his new home in Delaware to his purchased home in Texas.

In order to get there, I had to fly in to the nearest airport, Baltimore, and Uber in to a small town just inside of Delaware from Maryland.

The plan was to stop in Virginia after passing through Washington DC and in Dickson Tennessee so we could split the trip up more evenly.  We had talked about going to Fayetteville Arkansas, but it would have made the trip unbearably long.

The show starts with me driving to class early on Thursday morning.

PC 22: February Road Trip, Part 2

Part 2 of the February Road Trip is here and it starts as we are entering Dallas, Texas.  We find his new home and the next day, I head back to Tennessee.

The February Road Trip episodes are Alvin, a friend and I driving from Delaware to Texas.

PC 23: New Job, Audio Experiments with Pixel Pro 7

In this episode of the PhilCast, I briefly discuss why I got a new job.  Additionally, the Google Pixel 7 Pro is probably a better audio recorder than you thought.  I take it outside on Independence Day around a lot of explosions to see what the audio is like.

Plus, I would like to develop an app for Android for the professional podcast market.  I look at what it takes to make that a possibility.  I'm also saving up for a new vehicle.

PC 24: Walking Around the City Center Rambling About Things I See (In Stereo)

I'm still having issues finding a place to record a podcast.  This time, we are in the city center listening to all the sounds of cars passing by while talking about everything I see.  Along with that, there are a few guy (it's usually always guys) that have issues.  They belong to a special club.  Listen for the name of that club.

My dad's camper has one of those crappy little all-in-one entertainment systems that play DVDs with FM and AM radio, Bluetooth, NFC, and an Auxiliary input...and it really sucks.

Since my father and his wife are home a lot, I haven't been able to practice my drum kit.  I've been looking for a place to dump the kit so I can practice whenever I want.  I found a spot.

For your enjoyment, I did not edit the section of this podcast where I'm replacing the air filter on the Buick.  There's a hint of people talking across the parking lot you can hear.
